UNICEF in Pakistan, Volume IV: Protected and Included

Volume IV of Twenty Five Years for Children in Pakistan examines child protection, civil registration, social protection and public finance for children between 2000 and 2025. Digital Birth Registration stands out as the best evidenced contribution, supported by a formal summative evaluation. The volume also reviews provincial child protection policy, child labour evidence systems, humanitarian protection, nutrition sensitive social protection through Benazir Nashonuma, and public finance for children, and it sets priorities for universal free legal identity and a financed protection workforce for 2026 to 2030. Part of the CSADS Public Evidence Series. Principal Investigator: Ahmad Nadeem. October 2026. Independent study; not commissioned, requested, reviewed or endorsed by UNICEF.
